It briefly garnered scientific attention when it was found to have an unexpectedly low density of about 0.82 g/cm3. It was discovered on 30 October 2002, by the Spacewatch program.

55637 Uni (provisional designation 2002 UX25) is a large trans-Neptunian object that orbits the Sun in the Kuiper belt beyond Neptune. It briefly garnered scientific attention when it was found to have an unexpectedly low density of about 0.82 g/cm3. It was discovered on 30 October 2002, by the Spacewatch program. Spitzer Space Telescope results estimate it to be approximately 659 kilometers (409 miles) in diameter. 2 occultations in 2026 measured diameters of 571 kilometers (355 miles) and 610 kilometers (379 miles). It has one known moon, named Tinia, which was discovered in 2005.
