Afrosound are a Colombian band, founded by Medellín-based record label Discos Fuentes in 1972. They released several successful albums in the 1970s and 1980s, and since reforming in the 2020s have released two more. Afrosound play various Colombian styles of music, significantly influenced by cumbia amazónica from Peru. The original members of Afrosound were studio musicians at Discos Fuentes, and concurrently played in other bands including Los Tesos and the Latin Brothers.
