Anadyr, or Kagyrgyn, is a port town, the administrative center, and the largest town of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is located at the mouth of the Anadyr River at the tip of a peninsula that protrudes into Anadyrsky Liman.

Anadyr, or Kagyrgyn, is a port town, the administrative center, and the largest town of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Russia. The town is located at the mouth of the Anadyr River at the tip of a peninsula that protrudes into Anadyrsky Liman. Anadyr is the easternmost town in Russia; more easterly settlements, such as Provideniya and Uelen, exist, but lack town status.
