Sir Michael Anthony Epstein ( EP-styne, Yiddish: [ˈɛpʃtejn]; 18 May 1921 – 6 February 2024) was a British pathologist and academic. He was one of the discoverers of the Epstein–Barr virus, along with Yvonne Barr and Bert Achong.
