Arcola (Ligurian: Arcoa) is a commune in the Province of La Spezia, Liguria, Italy, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) southeast of Genoa and about 7 kilometres (4 mi) northeast of La Spezia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 10,145 and an area of 16.4 square kilometres (6.3 mi2). The municipality of Arcola contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Baccano, Termo, Fresonara, Monti, Romito Magra, Cerri, and Trebiano. Arcola borders the following municipalities: La Spezia, Lerici, Sarzana, Vezzano Ligure.
