arrochadeira

Machine-translated from the Spanish article

Arrochadeira, or Bregadeira, is a fusion genre resulting from the mixing of arrocha and swingueira. The genre emerged in the early 2010s in the state of Bahia, with its main influences being the instrumentation and electronic percussion originating from the swingueira rhythm, and the double-meaning lyrical composition of arrocha, with strong evidence of electronic forró. Regional success eventually attracted several artists from pagode baiano, but the first song of national repercussion in the genre was "Metralhadora" by Banda Vingadora.
