Atri (Ancient Greek: Ἀτρία (Átría); Latin: Adria, Atria, Hadria or Hatria) is a comune in the Province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Atri is the setting of the poem The Bell of Atri by American writer Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Its name is the origin of the name of the Emperor Hadrian, whose family came from the town. The closest airport is the Abruzzo Airport, which is approximately 22 miles drive. The nearest beach is 7 miles drive. The city hospital is Ospedale Civile S. Liberatore di Atri.
