Castle Douglas (Scottish Gaelic: Caisteal Dhùghlais) (Usually referred to as CD) is a market town in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It lies in the lieutenancy area of Kirkcudbrightshire, in the eastern part of Galloway, between the towns of Dalbeattie and Gatehouse of Fleet. The town is 76 miles (122 km) south-southwest of Edinburgh, 60 miles (97 km) south of Glasgow, and 16 miles (26 km) southwest of Dumfries. It had a population of 4,056 in 2022. It is in the ecclesiastical parish of Kelton.
