Charles Edwin Mitchell (October 6, 1877 – December 14, 1955) was an American banker whose incautious securities policies facilitated the speculation which led to the Crash of 1929. His actions as president of the First National City Bank (now Citibank) were a prime factor in the passage of the Glass–Steagall Act.
