Chinni Jayanth

Chinni Jayanth is an Indian actor,film director, producer, comedian, and a very popular mimicry artist . He has appeared in many main, character, and supporting roles in Tamil films. He is also a popular television personality, having hosted hit shows like Sagalai Vs Ragalai, Kalakka Povathu Yaar on Vijay TV and Asathapovathu Yaaru on Sun TV in Chennai. He has pioneered the art of mimicry and has been instrumental in spreading this art form across the globe. He has inspired more than 2 generations of aspiring artists to take up this art form. Through his TV shows, he has gifted many leading mimicry stars to the TV and Film world. He is also a recipient of the Kalaimamani award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu for excellence in the field of cinema. He received this award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a glittering function at Valluvar Kottam. As an acknowledgement of his efforts in the field of cinema, mimicry, stage performances and social service activities, Chinni Jayanth was presented with a doctorate by The Open International University of Alternate Medicine on 29 December 2013. He has also been an active member of organisations like Round Table India through which he has been a part of many fundraising initiatives to give back to society. He has also involved himself in conducting many workshops on acting through which he shares his knowledge gained with 42 years of experience in the industry to help youngsters of today reach their goal in life
