In Nonnus's epic poem the Dionysiaca, Damasen (Ancient Greek: Δαμασήν, romanized: Damasên, derived from damazô or damasô "to subdue") is a Lydian giant. He is the son of Gaia (the Earth), and was nursed by Eris, the goddess of discord.
