Dan Almagor (Hebrew: דן אלמגור; born 13 July 1935) Dan Almagor (born July 13, 1935) is an Israeli playwright, songwriter, publicist, journalist, author, translator, literary scholar, radio broadcaster and television host. Has adapted and translated over a hundred plays for the Hebrew stage, including Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors", "As You Like It", "Fiddler on the Roof," "The King and I," "My Fair Lady" and "Guys and Dolls".

Dan Almagor (Hebrew: דן אלמגור; born 13 July 1935) Dan Almagor (born July 13, 1935) is an Israeli playwright, songwriter, publicist, journalist, author, translator, literary scholar, radio broadcaster and television host. Has adapted and translated over a hundred plays for the Hebrew stage, including Shakespeare's "The Comedy of Errors", "As You Like It", "Fiddler on the Roof," "The King and I," "My Fair Lady" and "Guys and Dolls". One of the most prominent creators in the field of Hebrew song and Israeli drama, and is known as someone who has been researching the history of Hebrew songs and their writers, Hebrew literature throughout its generations (with a specialization in medieval and Renaissance literature) and the Hebrew language for many years. The National Library in Jerusalem holds all of Almagor’s creative works.
