Eileen Higgins (born June 30, 1964) is an American politician and former diplomat serving as the 44th mayor of Miami since 2025. A member of the Democratic Party, she served as a member of the Miami-Dade County Commission from 2018 to 2025. In the 2025 Miami mayoral election, Higgins defeated Emilio Gonzalez in a runoff. She is the first woman mayor, the first non-Hispanic mayor since 1996, and the first member of the Florida Democratic Party to be elected mayor since 1997.
