Engerdal is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Østerdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Engerdalen. Other villages in the municipality include Drevsjø, Elgå, Sømådal, and Sorken. The 2,197-square-kilometre (848 sq mi) municipality is the 28th largest by area out of the 357 municipalities in Norway. Engerdal Municipality is the 311th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 1,326. The municipality's population density is 0.6 inhabitants per square kilometre (1.6/sq mi) and its population has increased by 1.2% over the previous 10-year period.
