Fake or Fortune?

Fake or Fortune? is a British arts documentary television series broadcast on BBC One. Created by art dealer and art historian Philip Mould and producer Simon Shaw, it is presented by Mould and Fiona Bruce. Since its debut in 2011, the series has attracted audiences of up to five million viewers and has been described by the BBC as its "top performing arts series since 2004".. The series investigates the attribution, provenance and authenticity of works of art through archival research, technical and scientific analysis, and specialist expertise. The programme has attracted audiences of more than five million viewers in the United Kingdom. The investigations draw on specialists including art historians, conservators, conservation scientists, provenance researchers, handwriting experts and museum curators, with contributors varying according to the requirements of each investigation. During the first five series, art historian Bendor Grosvenor carried out specialist research for the programme. From series six onwards, Professor Aviva Burnstock has appeared as a recurring conservation expert.
