Google News is a news aggregator service within Google Search. It presents a continuous flow of links to articles organized from thousands of publishers and magazines. Google first introduced the service September 2002. The initial idea was developed by Krishna Bharat. It is now available in more than thirty languages and aggregates news from 50,000 publishers. Publishers have sought compensation from Google for their content. In 2006, Google News began to support an archive search for finding historical news items.
