I Super 4

Machine-translated from the Italian article

I Super 4 were an Italian light music group formed in 1984 and active until 2003. The group arose in the early 1980s from the collaboration of four singer-songwriters who, between the late 1950s and the 1960s, had recorded for RCA Italiana: Gianni Meccia, Jimmy Fontana, Nico Fidenco and Riccardo Del Turco. It was the original label itself that decided to launch the project: they debuted in 1984 with an eponymous album, which gathered reinterpretations of some of the four's hits (including Il mondo, Legata a un granello di sabbia, Il pullover and Luglio) alongside some new tracks, and this would remain the main feature of the subsequent albums as well.
