Intervision 2026

Intervision 2026 (Arabic: إنترفيجن 2026; Russian: Интервидение 2026) is an upcoming international song competition scheduled to take place in 2026. It is set to be the next edition of the revival of the Intervision Song Contest following its relaunch in 2025, despite having a different organiser, format and set of participating countries compared to the original run. The contest will take place in Saudi Arabia. On 18 February 2026, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov confirmed in an interview with Al Arabiya, that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman following an exchange of messages with Russian President Vladimir Putin came to an agreement that the next competition in 2026 will be held in Saudi Arabia, and named the responsible personnel. On 4 August 2026, the Russian state-owned news agency TASS reported, citing a source in Riyadh, that the hosting of Intervision 2026 was uncertain and that there was no guarantee the event would definitely go ahead. The following day, the Intervision press office denied these reports, confirming that the contest would definitely take place in 2026, although the dates and host city had not yet been determined. On 7 August, the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, citing a source within the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, reported that the event could potentially take place in December 2026, January or February 2027.
