John Edward McGee Jr. (born October 19, 1969), known professionally as John Edward, is an American television personality, writer and self-proclaimed psychic medium. After writing his first book on the subject in 1998, Edward became a well-known (and controversial) figure in the United States with his shows broadcast on the Sci-Fi Channel premiering in July 2000 along with broadcasting on We TV from 2006 to 2008.
