Kendrick Perkins

Kendrick Le’Demetrious Perkins (born November 10, 1984) is an American former professional basketball player who is a sports analyst for ESPN. He played fourteen seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Hailing from Clifton J. Ozen High School in Beaumont, Texas, Perkins was drafted to the NBA directly out of high school, going 27th overall in the 2003 NBA draft to the Memphis Grizzlies and then having his rights traded to the Boston Celtics. He spent eight seasons in Boston, winning a championship with them in 2008 and reaching another NBA Finals in 2010. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder during the 2010–11 season, where he reached his third NBA Finals in 2012. Perkins joined the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2014–15 season, with whom he played in his fourth NBA Finals that year. He later played one season for the New Orleans Pelicans before remaining unsigned during the 2016–17 season. After playing for the Canton Charge of the NBA G League, Perkins returned to the Cavaliers for a second stint in 2018, reaching his fifth NBA Finals that year.
