Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard (French: [maʁjɔ̃ kɔtijaʁ] ; born 30 September 1975) is a French actress who has appeared in both mainstream and independent European and Hollywood productions. She is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two César Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. She became a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters in France in 2010 and was promoted to Officer in 2016, the same year she was named a Knight of the Legion of Honour. Cotillard began her career at age six and had her first English-language role in the television series Highlander (1993) at age seventeen, followed by her feature film debut in The Story of a Boy Who Wanted to Be Kissed (1994). Her breakthrough came in the French film Taxi (1998). She made her Hollywood debut in Big Fish (2003) and won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for A Very Long Engagement (2004).
