Modugno (Italian: [moˈduɲɲo]; Barese: Medùgne [məˈduɲɲə]) is a town and comune (municipality) of the Metropolitan City of Bari, Apulia, southern Italy. It borders the municipalities of Bari, Bitetto, Bitonto, Bitritto, and Palo del Colle. Before the 1970s, the town was mainly dedicated to agriculture; since construction of an industrial zone, it has become an important factory site in the region. Modugno is 5 kilometres (3 mi) from the shore. The landscape is mainly flat.
