Montanera is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) south of Turin and about 13 kilometres (8 mi) northeast of Cuneo. Montanera borders the following municipalities: Castelletto Stura, Centallo, Fossano, Morozzo, and Sant'Albano Stura.
