The town is known for its sulphurous spring, which gave rise to the Terme Acqua Pia and is linked to the legend of Cinzio and Corinzia.

Montevago (Sicilian: Muntivau) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Agrigento in the Italian region Sicily, located about 60 kilometres (37 miles) southwest of Palermo and about 70 kilometres (43 miles) northwest of Agrigento. The town is known for its sulphurous spring, which gave rise to the Terme Acqua Pia and is linked to the legend of Cinzio and Corinzia. Montevago borders the following municipalities: Castelvetrano, Menfi, Partanna, Salaparuta, Santa Margherita di Belice.
