It occupies the plain just south of the slopes of Monte Maggiore, the highest peak in the Monti Trebulani.

It occupies the plain just south of the slopes of Monte Maggiore, the highest peak in the Monti Trebulani. Pietramelara borders the following municipalities: Formicola, Pietravairano, Riardo, Roccaromana, Rocchetta e Croce.
