Stazzano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Turin and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) southeast of Alessandria. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,168 and an area of 17.8 square kilometres (6.9 sq mi). The municipality of Stazzano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Vargo and Albarasca. Stazzano borders the following municipalities: Borghetto di Borbera, Cassano Spinola, Sardigliano, Serravalle Scrivia, and Vignole Borbera.
