His philanthropic interests include the environment, particularly the Tambling Wildlife Nature Conservation a 45,000 hectare forest, endangered wildlife and sea conservation area, located in southern Sumatra. In 2006, he was listed as #35 on a Forbes list of "Indonesia's 40 richest", with net worth of $110 million In 2016, he was ranked 43rd on GlobeAsia's list of 150 Richest Indonesians, with wealth of $900 million.
