Ultra-leftism distinguishes itself from other left-wing currents through its rejection of electoralism, trade unionism, and national liberation. "Ultra-left" is also commonly used as a pejorative by some Marxist–Leninists, or some Trotskyists, to refer to extreme or uncompromising Marxist sects.
