Zarih is a ornamental enclosure built around the grave of a holy figure in Islam. A zarih is built by skilled craftsmen, and they are usually made out of precious metals such as gold and silver, or high quality wood. Notable zarihs can be found in the Imam Ali Shrine, Imam Husayn Shrine, Imam Reza Shrine, Al-Abbas Shrine, Kazimiyya Mosque, Al-Askari Shrine, Fatima Masumeh Shrine, and others.
