Chora or Hora (Greek: Χώρα), officially Ios (Greek: Ίος), is the capital town of Ios Island in Greece and is the largest settlement on the island. It contains many of the island's facilities of tourism such as hotels and apartments. The town has only some small roads for cars, with many paths only accessible by foot.

Chora or Hora (Greek: Χώρα), officially Ios (Greek: Ίος), is the capital town of Ios Island in Greece and is the largest settlement on the island. It contains many of the island's facilities of tourism such as hotels and apartments. The town has only some small roads for cars, with many paths only accessible by foot. It is built between two small hills and in the town there are at least 24 small churches with the most famous one being the church of Panagia Gremiotissa ("Panagia of the Cliff"). The modern town sits on the ruins of the ancient polis (city-state) of Ios.
