Promotion of police for their benefit

Copaganda (a portmanteau of cop and propaganda) is propaganda intended to positively shape public opinion about police or counter criticism of police and anti-police sentiment. The term is used to criticize news media creating one-sided depictions of police, uncritically repeating police narratives, or minimizing police misconduct.
