Located in the Jordan Valley with an area of 1,500 dunams (1.5 km2; 0.58 sq mi), it falls under the jurisdiction of Bik'at HaYarden Regional Council. In 2024 it had a population of 600. The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.
