Gao Hua (Chinese: 高华; pinyin: Gāo Huá; May 12, 1954 – December 26, 2011) was a Chinese historian and a professor in the Department of History at Nanjing University, where he also served as a doctoral supervisor. He later held a concurrent appointment as chair professor and doctoral supervisor at East China Normal University in Shanghai.

Gao Hua (Chinese: 高华; pinyin: Gāo Huá; May 12, 1954 – December 26, 2011) was a Chinese historian and a professor in the Department of History at Nanjing University, where he also served as a doctoral supervisor. He later held a concurrent appointment as chair professor and doctoral supervisor at East China Normal University in Shanghai. He was best known for his research on the history of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and in particular for How the Red Sun Rose, his study of the Yan'an Rectification Movement.
