Jailer 2 is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action comedy film written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. A sequel to Jailer (2023), the film stars Rajinikanth, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Mirnaa and Rithvik reprising their roles from the predecessor, with S. J. Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anna Rajan and Jatin Sarna joining the cast. Prior to the release of the original film in 2023, Nelson expressed interest in making sequels to his films. Sun Pictures officially announced the sequel to Jailer in January 2025. Principal photography commenced that March in Chennai and took place across several locations in India, including Kerala, Coimbatore, Mysore and Goa, before concluding in April 2026. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal. Jailer 2 is scheduled to release worldwide on 15 October 2026 in theatres.
