Kiguma Jack Murata (December 29, 1909 Marysville – December 27, 2001 Sacramento) was a Japanese American geochemist of the U.S. Geological Survey who served as Scientist-in-Charge of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory from 1958 to 1960. Murata was a fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America and the Geological Society of America, and served on the Standards Committee of the Geochemical Society in 1957.

Kiguma Jack Murata (December 29, 1909 Marysville – December 27, 2001 Sacramento) was a Japanese American geochemist of the U.S. Geological Survey who served as Scientist-in-Charge of the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory from 1958 to 1960. Murata was a fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America and the Geological Society of America, and served on the Standards Committee of the Geochemical Society in 1957. In 1980, Murata received a Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1980, the department's highest honor.
