East Lombok Regency is a regency (Indonesian: Kabupaten) of the Indonesian Province of West Nusa Tenggara. It is located on the island of Lombok, of which it comprises the eastern third (including minor offshore islands); the administrative capital is the inland town of Selong, situated halfway between Masbagik town and the port of Labuhan Haji. However, the main economic centres are the ports of Labuhan Haji (in the south-central part of the east coast) and Labuhan Lombok (in the northern part of the east coast), from which there are ferries to Labuhan Tanu on Sumbawa and Padangbai on Bali. The Regency covers an area of 1,605.55 km2 and had a population of 1,105,582 at the 2010 Census and 1,325,240 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2025 was 1,449,920 (comprising 718,545 males and 731,375 females).
