Robert Preston Morris (born July 29, 1961) is an American former televangelist, pastor, and convicted child sex offender. He founded Gateway Church, a megachurch in Southlake, Texas, in 2000 and served as its senior pastor until 2024, when he resigned after being publicly accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in the 1980s.

Robert Preston Morris (born July 29, 1961) is an American former televangelist, pastor, and convicted child sex offender. He founded Gateway Church, a megachurch in Southlake, Texas, in 2000 and served as its senior pastor until 2024, when he resigned after being publicly accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in the 1980s. In March 2025, he was indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child. In October 2025, he pleaded guilty to all five charges. He was incarcerated for six months before being released in March 2026 and placed on probation for the remainder of his 10-year sentence. He must also register as a sex offender.
