Yan Weibing (simplified Chinese: 严慰冰; traditional Chinese: 嚴慰冰; pinyin: Yán Wèibīng; 1918 – 15 March 1986) was a Chinese writer and Communist Party official, and the second wife of Lu Dingyi, head of the party's Propaganda Department and a vice premier. She is chiefly remembered for the affair of the letters she sent under assumed names between 1960 and 1966 to Ye Qun, the wife of defence minister Lin Biao, attacking Lin and Ye.

Yan Weibing (simplified Chinese: 严慰冰; traditional Chinese: 嚴慰冰; pinyin: Yán Wèibīng; 1918 – 15 March 1986) was a Chinese writer and Communist Party official, and the second wife of Lu Dingyi, head of the party's Propaganda Department and a vice premier. She is chiefly remembered for the affair of the letters she sent under assumed names between 1960 and 1966 to Ye Qun, the wife of defence minister Lin Biao, attacking Lin and Ye. The case became entangled with the purge of her husband at the outset of the Cultural Revolution. Yan was arrested in April 1966, spent more than twelve years in custody, and was released and rehabilitated after 1978.
