Davāzdah Rokh (Persian: دوازده رخ, lit. 'Twelve Combats') is a story in the Shahnameh. This relatively long story (almost 2,500 verses) is described as one of the finest stories of the Shahnameh in terms of "plot, dramatic description, and insight into human nature".
