EG Group Limited (undergoing rebranding to Cumberland Farms Group) is an American-British multinational operator of filling stations, convenience stores and fast-food service providers across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Benelux. Founded in 2001 by Mohsin and Zuber Issa as Euro Garages, the company began with a single petrol station in Bury, Greater Manchester, before expanding rapidly across the United Kingdom through the acquisition of forecourts from oil companies and improving their retail and food offerings. In October 2015, TDR Capital acquired a minority stake in Euro Garages, and in October 2016 its European Forecourt Retail Group, operating in France and Benelux, merged with the business to create Intervias Group, later renamed EG Group. The company grew internationally through debt-funded expansion, reaching almost £8 billion in debt by 2023, having acquired businesses in Germany, Italy, Australia, the United States, and Ireland by 2020. From 2023, the French, Italian, Australian and Irish businesses were divested, whilst most British assets were sold to Asda and EG On The Move.
