The First Sicilian War, sometimes called the First Puno-Syracusan War, was a major conflict in Sicily between Carthage and Syracuse. It was the initial conflict that started the Sicilian Wars. The war broke out after Terillus, tyrant of Himera, was overthrown by Theron, tyrant of Akragas.
