As of 2025, it had a 3.5% market share, making it the world's sixth-biggest battery manufacturer. Gotion produces both lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and lithium nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide (NMC) batteries.

As of 2025, it had a 3.5% market share, making it the world's sixth-biggest battery manufacturer. Gotion produces both lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and lithium nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide (NMC) batteries. In addition to cells and batteries, the company also produces cathode and anode active material. In 2020, the Volkswagen Group acquired a 24% stake in Gotion for $1.1 billion.
