Michael Harrison Sweet (born July 4, 1963) is an American musician, the co-founder, principal songwriter, guitarist, and lead singer of the heavy metal band Stryper. Spin has described him as "Stryper's vocalist and principal songwriter."

Michael Harrison Sweet (born July 4, 1963) is an American musician, the co-founder, principal songwriter, guitarist, and lead singer of the heavy metal band Stryper. Spin has described him as "Stryper's vocalist and principal songwriter." He has also had a successful solo career, recorded with the supergroups Sweet & Lynch and Sunbomb, and served as singer and guitarist for Boston from 2007 to 2011. Sweet sings in a tenor voice incorporating techniques such as vibrato; his vocal style was characterised as sounding like "Dennis DeYoung fronting a Christian glam metal band" by Ultimate Classic Rock, in their ranking of the Top 15 Hair Metal Singers from the hard rock bands that dominated the airwaves in the '80s.
