Zeus Palace is a mixed passenger-cargo ship belonging to the Italian company Grimaldi Lines. Built between 2000 and 2001 by the South Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje for the Greek company Minoan Lines under the name Prometheus (Προμηθέας , Promitheas), it entered service in April 2001 between Greece and Italy. Sold in October 2003 to the shipping company Caronte & Tourist, which operated it between mainland Italy and Sicily, it was then sold again to the Italian shipping company Grimaldi. It was assigned to international routes between Italy and Spain under the name Eurostar Barcelona. Chartered from 2008 by its original company, Minoan Lines, now a subsidiary of the Grimaldi Group, it returned to service between Italy and Greece. Renamed Zeus Palace in 2009, it returned to Grimaldi's routes before being chartered by Grandi Navi Veloci, which operated it between mainland Italy and Sicily from 2010 to 2012. Back in the Grimaldi Lines fleet at the end of 2012, it was assigned between Italy, Spain and Morocco and then between the mainland, Sicily and Tunisia in 2013. It currently sails on routes to Sardinia or Sicily depending on the period.
