Hiranai (Japanese: 平内町, Hepburn: Hiranai-machi) (Ainu: ピラナィ, romanized: piranay) is a town located in Aomori Prefecture, Japan and a part of the Aomori metropolitan area. As of 1 September 2025, the town had an estimated population of 9,616 in 4,726 households, and a population density of 44 persons per km2. It is the most heavily populated town in Higashitsugaru District. The total area of the town is 217.09 km2 (83.82 sq mi).
